Editor-in-Chief

Michelle Cheon

Michelle Cheon is a junior majoring in Molecular Cellular Developmental Biology and is a Global Health Scholar. As Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Undergraduate Research Journal, Michelle oversees all aspects of the journal including the editorial process, student outreach, finances, and final publication/distribution.

Together with the YURJ team, she hopes to expand the platform for undergraduate researchers at Yale and beyond to share their work and engage in meaningful scholarly activities. Outside of YURJ she likes to sing in her a cappella group, do immunology research, and solve New Yorker puzzles!

  • Leonardo Chung

    Managing Editor

    Leo is a sophomore in Benjamin Franklin College majoring in Chemistry and/or English. He is a Managing Editor for YURJ. He is also the Director of Outreach for the Yale Healthcare Consulting Collective, a Literary Editor for the Yale Literary Magazine, and an undergraduate researcher in the Mayer Lab. Leo loves traveling and writing poetry inspired by the places he visits.

  • Atreya Manaswi

    Managing Editor

    Atreya is a sophomore (‘29) studying Molecular Biology on the pre-med track and serves as STEM Managing Editor in YURJ. Outside of YURJ, he conducts clinical research at the Yale School of Medicine and the National Center for PTSD, and serves as Volunteer Director of United Students for Veterans Health. Atreya also performs on Yale's Bhangra team.

  • Shriya Jaddu

    Managing Editor

    Shriya is a sophomore ('29) studying Economics and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. She serves as a managing editor at YURJ. Outside of YURJ, she is a Tobin Research Assistant, a dry lab researcher for Yale iGEM, and a Public Health Center Head at the Yale Policy Institute. Shriya also enjoys hiking and knitting!
